Virtual debate invites magistrates and civil servers to participate in challenge day 2023

As a warm-up for the "Challenge Day 2023", the Health Center, in partnership with the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT) held on Wednesday (24th), a LIVE inviting magistrates and servers to implement healthy habits of health and body care.

Held in a relaxed and informative manner, the debate had as its theme "The impact of physical exercises on mental health - body and mind relationship" - and it was presented by Doctor Elaine Cristina Ferreira - cardiologist and head of the Health Center - and Doctor Leonardo Bruno - neurologist from the Medical Board.

According to the neurologist, physical activity is an important factor in disease prevention. "The impact of physical activity in neurology is very large. There is no factor as inexpensive to prevent diseases as physical activity," he said.

Challenge Day

The Challenge Day is celebrated annually on the last Wednesday of May and its main objective is to motivate the population to practice physical activities, both to contribute to the improvement of physical and mental health. On this date, communities from different Brazilian cities and several other countries get together to compete in friendly competitions and challenges that stimulate body movement.

On the last Thursday of May, at 5:30pm, in the auditorium of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins, the physical educator Marcos Paulo de Souza Barros will give a functional class of rhythms for fifteen minutes, with live broadcast to all the districts of the Judiciary.
