Registrations are open for workshop on Legal and Bioethical Protection of the Rights of Patients

As a complement to the XIV International Congress on Human Rights, the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT) will be developing, on October 18th, starting at 2 pm, the Workshop on Legal Protection and Bioethics of the Rights of Patients.

With a workload of 3 hours, the training aims to provide the interested parties with the opportunity to develop better techniques to protect the rights of patients regarding their autonomy of will.

The workshop will be held in person in the classroom of Esmat. Forty vacancies are being made available for public servers, magistrates, interns and employees of the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins; students, professors, professionals and members of the Human Rights education field.

The action will be given by the facilitator Henderson Furts, PhD in Law, from PUC-SP. Doctor and Master in Bioethics, from CUSC. Professor of Bioethics at the Albert Einstein Israeli Hospital. Professor of Constitutional Law at PUC-Campinas, Chairman of the Special Bioethics Committee of OAB-SP. Director of the Brazilian Society of Bioethics, Member of CISS, National Health Council.

XIV International Congress on Human Rights (October 19th – 21st)

Promoted by the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT), since 2012, the XIV International Congress on Human Rights, with “The Protection of Human Rights in War and Pandemic Scenarios” theme, takes place from Wednesday to Friday, from October 19th to 21st, 2022.

With 20 hours, the program is distributed among conferences, panels, workshops and other dynamics. The event is free of charge and it will count with the participation of renowned speakers from Brazil, Hungary, Turkey, Egypt, United States, Mexico, Spain, England, Bolivia and Mozambique.
