Esmat Opens Registrations For Course On Rural Credit And Renegotiation Of Debts In Agribusiness

The Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) opens, starting this Tuesday (March 25th), registrations for the course on "Rural Credit and Renegotiation of Rural Debts - Practical and Controversial Aspects" -, aimed at magistrates and civil servers of the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins.

Rural credit is one of the main instruments to promote agricultural activity and, in the state of Tocantins - a state with a strong vocation for agribusiness -, there has been a growing judicialization of issues such as contract execution, clause review, extension and renegotiation of financing.

In this sense, the initiative seeks, as cited in the Notice no. 053 of 2026, "train to understand the legal, normative and operational foundations of rural credit and mechanisms for renegotiation of rural debts, in order to subsidize qualified analysis and appropriate resolution of judicial controversies related to agribusiness financing operations”.

The activities will be carried out in person, at Esmat, with meetings on April 22nd and 23rd from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Classes will be led by Danilo Amâncio Cavalcanti (agrarian lawyer and attorney of the Amazônia Bank S.A., master in Agribusiness), and the course coordination is in charge of Angela Issa Haonat. Among the topics provided are fundamentals of rural credit, renegotiation programs in force, interpretation of relevant case law (such as the Summary No. 298 of the STJ (Superior Court of Justice)), as well as procedural aspects, CPR and judicial recovery of the rural producer.

Registrations can be made clicking here.
