How Artificial Intelligence can transform the work in health? It is to this question that the participants of the course on "Artificial Intelligence in the Health Area" began to answer on Monday (Dec 1st), at the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat). The activity continues until tomorrow, Tuesday (Dec 2nd), with a workload of 16 hours, and it proposes a practical, critical and current approach to the use of AI in the public sector.

Taught by Professor Paulo Sérgio Pedrosa de Miranda Filho, the course combines theory, demonstrations and collaborative construction of solutions with Artificial Intelligence. Physician and expert in emerging technologies, the professor reinforces that the proposal is not only to teach how to use automated systems, but also to form a critical and solid basis for the use of technology in the institutional context.

“The logic of what we want to deliver here is not only a set of tools, but also a digital health literacy, as well as a theoretical basis in AI that allows each professional to leave the course with a strong critical sense, very well worked, in addition to a suitable technique to obtain productivity gains and their professional performance", explained.

The programming of the course was built to dialogue with the real challenges faced by those working in the sectors of assistance, surveillance, management and psychosocial support. The target audience includes employees and trainees from the health-related sectors of the TJTO, such as Cesau, Napsi, Medical Board, GGEM, TRE-TO and other partner agencies (see below).
