Adoption And Rights Of Children Are The Themes Of A New Course At Esmat

Between March 20th and May 1st, the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT) will promote the course on “Socio-Historical and Legal Aspects of Adoption and its Specificities”. The training aims to train civil servers and accredited professionals from the technical teams of the Multidisciplinary Team Management Group (GGEM), providing reflections on adoption processes and their social, political and psychological impacts.

With a 50-hour workload and taught in distance learning mode, the course will include activities carried out in the Virtual Learning Environment of Esmat (VLE) and WEBCLASSES broadcast via GOOGLE MEET. The live classes will take place on March 20th and 26th, April 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd, 2025, from 2pm to 5pm.

The course seeks to deepen knowledge about the legal and historical aspects of adoption in Brazil, including the challenges and specificities of the adoption process, the work of the system for guaranteeing the rights of children and adolescents and the changes in legislation over the years.
