The Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat), in partnership with the Permanent College of Directors of State Schools of the Magistracy (Copedem) and Microsoft, launched the first class of the FluêncIA (Fluence) course on Artificial Intelligence on Wednesday (March 5th), through the Virtual Learning Environment of Esmat (VLE).
The project, coordinated by Justice Marco Villas Boas, general director of Esmat, and Ana Beatriz de Oliveira Pretto, executive director of the school, includes a trail of six self-instructional (virtual) courses, made up of video lessons, transcripts of the videos, booklets, articles and complementary LINKS.
In a statement, the general director highlighted the importance of training legal professionals in the use of generative artificial intelligence.
This technology requires human beings to be ethically committed and to take extra care with texts and other productions, which need to be carefully analyzed and verified before they become public acts. This is why we have invested in training magistrates and civil servers in the Judiciary, he argued.
Totaling 12 class hours, the Class I course will continue until April 13th, with the content made available on the VLE platform, where study and assessment activities will be carried out. Additional information has already been sent to those registered by e-mail.
Registrations for Class II will be open from March 10th.
