The basic stage of the Defensive and Evasive Driving Course began on Tuesday (August 29th). The initiative aims to improve skills of the participants in driving responsibly in defensive and evasive situations. The opening ceremony was attended by Judge José Ribamar Mendes Júnior, coordinator of the training, who shared his perspectives on the importance of this course for the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins.

The event, which includes theoretical classes at the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT) and practical classes at the Karting track of the city of Palmas, aims to provide specific skills to deal with challenging traffic situations, reducing the risk of accidents, as well as promoting safer and more responsible driving.

Judge José Ribamar Mendes Júnior emphasized the relevance of the training, highlighting the need for knowledge in defensive and evasive driving for all legal operators, especially those who work at the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins.

"The defensive and evasive driving course is very important for legal professionals, especially those who work for the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins. This is due to the high risk we all run when working in the most diverse areas of law. It provides us with this security, which also applies to those close to us when we need to escape in the event of possible danger," he said.

Held in person, with a 40-hour workload, the course is aimed at magistrates, drivers for Judges, drivers for the TJTO Presidency and military personnel from the Military Office of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins. The team of course facilitators is made up of Dorivan Rodrigo Marques, Kássio Maciel dos Santos and Frederico Ribeiro dos Santos Silva.
