First module of the Advanced Course of Defensive and Evasive Driving takes place this Thursday (10th)

Drivers for the Justices and the Presidency of TJTO; and military personnel from the Military Advisory Service of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (ASMIL) are participating, this Thursday (10th), in the Advanced Defensive and Evasive Driving course, given by professors Dorivan Rodrigo Marques, Teobaldo Bento Vieira and Henrique Nerí Pereira.

The training is held by the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT) and aims to improve the defensive and evasive driving techniques of those registered in the application of specific knowledge for driving vehicles in defensive and evasive situations, aiming to reduce traffic accidents, by legal means of updated techniques, improving the quality of service as a whole.

For Colonel Miranda, head of Asmil, qualifications of this type are extremely important so that drivers can drive with more prudence, respect, and attention to traffic. "We understand that defensive driving goes far beyond the simple act of driving a motor vehicle. For this reason, we planned and pleaded with the President of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins, the promotion of these actions, in Basic and Advanced formats. The courses came at a good time, as a way to qualify even more the collaborating military police officers of Asmil, as well as the drivers of the Court, making our professionals drive with more prudence and expertise, making our activities even safer", he said.

With a class load of 20 hours, the course will last until tomorrow, Friday (11th), when the practical activities of Module II will be finished. For the Basic level students, the practical classes ended on Wednesday afternoon (9th).
