Tjto Wins Silver Seal In The 2024 Cnj Quality Award

The Judiciary of the state of Tocantins (PJTO) won the Silver Seal of the 2024 CNJ Quality Award for the second year running. The result was announced on Tuesday (December 3rd), during the 18th National Meeting of the Judiciary, in the city of Campo Grande (MS).

Among the small courts, the TJTO had the second highest score, 74.0%, behind only the Court of Justice of the State of Rio Grande do Norte.  Among the four main axes: Governance; Productivity; Transparency; and Data and Technology, the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins achieved the best scores in Data and Technology (91.92%) and Governance (84.80%).

The TJTO achieved an unprecedented score in the Information and Communication Technology Governance, Management and Infrastructure Index of the Judiciary 2024 (iGovTIC-JUD). With a score of 90.60% in the General Result, the court reached the “Level of Excellence” for the first time, surpassing the national average of 87.42% and recording its best performance in history.

In this edition, the rankings - Diamond, Gold and Silver - are now determined on the basis of the cut-off score achieved by the courts, rather than just their position in the ranking. From 2020 to 2024, the TJTO went from 57.5% points to 74%.

“The Judiciary of the state of Tocantins is made up of people for people. We know the commitment of each and every civil server and magistrate in order to achieve all our goals and always reach top positions. All the members of the TJTO are to be congratulated on this achievement! We know that there are many difficulties, but we are evolving year after year because we work in a spirit of teamwork, of unity, which makes us stronger every day to deliver a quality service to citizens,” said the President of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins, Justice Etelvina Maria Sampaio Felipe, as she celebrated the maintenance of the Silver Seal.”

Ordinance No. 411/2024 of the CNJ, which sets out the regulations for the 2025 edition of the Prize, was published on Tuesday (December 3rd) in the Gazette of Justice.

The award

The CNJ Quality Award was created in 2019 to replace the Justice in Numbers Seal, which had been in place since 2013. Many criteria have been improved over the years and included in the regulations. The award is divided into four main axes: Governance, Productivity, Transparency, and Data and Technology.

All courts participate in the CNJ Quality Award - except for the Federal Supreme Court (STF). In all, there are four Superior Courts, 27 Courts of Justice (TJs), six Federal Regional Courts (TRFs), 24 Regional Labor Courts (TRTs), 27 Regional Electoral Courts (TREs) and three Military Justice Courts (TJMs) in the States.
