Registrations are now open for the XV Conciliate is Legal Award, promoted by the National Council of Justice (CNJ) and aimed at magistrates, civil servers, mediation and conciliation instructors, superior education institutions, members of the legal profession, among others. The aim is to identify, disseminate and stimulate modernization measures in the Judiciary that contribute to bring the parties closer together, effective pacification through conflict resolution and, consequently, the improvement of Justice.
The initiative is divided into two categories: Good Practices, with projects that seek to resolve disputes through a consensual decision by the parties; and Productivity, based on the performance of the courts measured by the Conflict Composition Index (ICoC).
Good practices on conciliation and mediation
The Good Practices category (registered under Conciliation and Mediation) recognizes the results achieved by projects created by magistrates, civil servers, mediation and conciliation instructors, private companies and educational institutions. The evaluation and judging of the practices follows criteria such as efficiency, restoration of social relations, creativity, replicability and social reach, among others.
Good practices will be evaluated in the categories Court, Individual Judge, Mediation and Conciliation Instructors, Superior Education, Out-of-Court Mediation and Conciliation, Complex or Collective Claims and Advocacy. The same project may not be entered in more than one category.
Proof of productivity
The productivity of the courts in consolidating the National Judicial Policy for the Adequate Treatment of Conflicts of Interest will also be recognized. The state, federal and labor courts that achieve the highest ICoC within their segment of justice will be awarded. The ICoC will be calculated with data collected between November 1st, 2023 and October 31st, 2024.
In all categories, only proposals with proven applicability or with concrete results achieved will be considered. Ideas in the development phase, theses, monographs or studies are not eligible.
