Esmat Participates In The 1st Edition Of Expojud Usa

During the first day (August 5th) of ExpoJud USA, an international event focusing exclusively on digital transformation for the justice sector, the General Director of the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) and President of the Permanent College of Directors of State Schools of Magistracy (Copedem), Justice Marco Villas Boas, and the Executive Director of the school, Ana Beatriz de Oliveira Pretto, took part in two thematic panels at the event taking place in Orlando, Florida - USA.

The first panel, entitled "Transforming Justice through Technology", was attended by the Minister of the Federal Court of Auditors (TCU) Aroldo Cedraz, who opened the debate by emphasizing the importance of technology in modernizing judicial processes and improving transparency and efficiency in the public sector.

In his speech, Justice Marco highlighted the digital transformation initiatives implemented by Esmat and how these actions have had a positive impact on the state justice.

The second panel, "The use of Artificial Intelligence to improve decision-making in Public Management", brought together names from the academia and public administration to discuss the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in public management. Justice Marco shared the early-stage initiative of Esmat to use algorithms to optimize the distribution of cases and the analysis of judicial data.

The second panel was also attended by the Executive Director, Ana Beatriz de Oliveira, and by Professors from the University of the State of São Paulo (USP), Ana Carla Bliacheriene, coordinator of the SmartCitiesBr Research Group of USP, and Luciano Vieira de Araújo, a Professor and researcher from USP at the SmartCitiesBr Research Group of USP.
