Covid-19 - Pandemic worsening leads TJTO to extend full telework to administrative services as well

The Judiciary of the State of Tocantins decided to establish, until next March 16th, the regime of compulsory and integral telework also to the administrative services at the headquarters of the Court of Justice, the General Internal Affairs of Justice and annexes (the judicial services are already in full telework since March 1st).

This is what is established in article 1 of Joint Ordinance No. 8/2021, signed by the president of TJTO, Judge João Rigo Guimarães, and by the Chief Justice, Judge Etelvina Maria Felipe Sampaio.

Among other points considered in the decision, the ordinance lists the current public health scenario in which there is a growing proliferation of coronavirus infection, the potential epidemiological risk within the Judiciary, and the Municipal Decree No. 2,003, from the City of Palmas, last March 3rd, establishing "the suspension of non-essential activities, as a mandatory measure to address the public health emergency resulting from the pandemic of the new coronavirus.

The joint ordinance of TJTO and CGJ, in its single paragraph, says that the current measure does not include "the servers of the Health Space of the Court of Justice". And it also establishes, in its article 2, the temporary suspension of article 6, paragraph 3, of Joint Ordinance No. 9, of April 7th, 2020, "and it is forbidden to perform any personal acts in the buildings of the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins".

It is worth remembering that, both in the judicial and administrative areas, the TJTO continues to develop its actions normally in attending to the operators of the Law and to the citizens, through its virtual platforms and its electronic system, the Eproc, among other technological tools. The same occurs in the scope of the districts, where the integral telework regime is already in force in both judicial and administrative services.
