“You are all very important to us in the Judiciary. You are fundamental to our population in the State of Tocantins, because you are the ones who guarantee the necessary support for each magistrate to ensure the fundamental rights of our citizens and the development of our State,” said the President of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO), Justice Etelvina Maria Sampaio Felipe, when she opened the programming in honor of the Servers Day (October 28th). The event was held on Tuesday afternoon (October 29th), in the auditorium of the Court of Justice, and it was marked by joy and relaxation.
Congratulating all the civil servers who attended the event in person or virtually, the President of the TJTO spoke of the greatness of each one in their jobs. “We deal with life, with freedom, with property, with family, with the honor of people. I often say that behind every case there is a life. And we dedicate ourselves to that life,” she said, pointing out that today, in addition to the growing judicial demand, there is a multiplicity of functions that the Judiciary needs to offer, which imposes a considerable burden of responsibility on all of us as public servers.
Márcia Mesquita, Director of People Management for the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins, also congratulated all the civil servers of the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins. “We are 3,153 workers, 12 Justices, 102 judges, 2,312 civil servers, 616 undergraduate and graduate interns and 111 volunteers,” she said.
According to the Director, the main aim of the event was to remind everyone of the importance of their work, dedication and commitment to the functioning of the institution, to meet the demands of society and, above all, to ensure access and guarantee rights. “The mission of a public server is to transform the society in which they live, by implementing public policies and providing services to the population. That's why we have a huge responsibility. As in all professional spaces, public institutions are permeated with daily challenges, goals, needs, collective effort, complex tasks and social demands that require safe and effective responses.”
In the search for continuous improvement of working conditions and, especially, the increase of the workforce, Márcia cited the nomination of more than 200 effective servers approved in the last contest, the legislative amendment that provided for the transformation of several positions to meet the needs of the First Degree, the structuring changes that seek the standardization and more equal distribution of the volume of work in the units with correlated assignments, the increase of more than 150 undergraduate and graduate internship vacancies, the implementation and expansion of several projects aimed at the enhancement of servers, the improvement of quality of life and better monitoring of careers.
Happiness depends on each person
During the event, held in partnership with the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat), the servers had the opportunity to reflect on happiness and well-being by attending the lecture on "Philosophical Advice for Being Happy", taught by Ana Paula Leobas Maracaípe, on the theme: "Philosophical Advice to Be Happy".
According to the speaker, everybody seeks happiness, but not everyone knows how to seek. Based on philosophical foundations, Ana Paula said that "happiness is not in external achievements", because they do not realize the human being. "Happiness will depend on our life," she said.
As myths of modern happiness, the speaker commented that many confuse happiness with well-being, material achievement and social functions. She spoke about the happiness of the human being, citing the vegetative soul (survival, wealth, health), sensitive soul (sensations, well-being) and rational soul (thought).
At the opportunity, Ana Paula directed to use the mind for human values and brought some advice to be happy, remembering that the greatest beauty that exists in the human being is goodness and that the human being moves through the mysteries.
To be happy, the speaker said that you should not relate happiness with pain or pleasure, you need to have courage to look at yourself and find the objective and subjective vision. For her, living the present moment is one of the most important advice and the hardest thing is not to isolate yourself, know how to relate.
"Being happy is to be yourself in everything you do. Happiness is about the most internal issues, and we need to reflect on it," said the speaker, adding that when a person knows that happiness depends only on it, he will be free.
The lecture was moderated by the head of the Division of Projects and Contracts Management of the Directorate of People Management, Tânia Mara Alves Barbosa.
A little joy
From the search for happiness to laughter. With the auditorium of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO), the humorist Diogo Portugal made the public laugh with the presentation of STAND-UP COMEDY that involved several themes. When he finished, he said that laughter is important and good for health. "It’s a relief for everyday life, mainly because I know that everyone here has important functions".
The judicial technician Francisco Carneiro da Silva approved the schedule of the Servers Day. "The lecture was very good, with simple language, but very contemplative. And Diogo made us smile a lot, the interaction was excellent".
