With a focus on the qualification of institutional communication and the preparation of representatives of the Judiciary for relations with the press, the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) holds, from March 9th to 13th, the course on "Media Training for Spokespersons of the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins ". The training will be offered in person, with 40 hours-class and 30 vacancies for magistrates and civil servers nominated by the Presidency of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO).
The initiative, which has received accreditation from the National School for the Training and Improvement of Magistrates (Enfam), as provided for in the Notice no. 021 of 2026, aims to "offer strategic training in Media Training for those registered who act as institutional spokespersons, with a focus on improving relations with the press, institutional projection and prevention of risks and image crises".
The course is coordinated by Justice Maysa Vendramini Rosal, president of the TJTO, and Judge Wellington Magalhães, deputy director of Superior Studies and Research at Esmat. The activities will be conducted by Legal Journalist and media trainer João Camargo Neto (lecturer) and by the master and doctoral student Lily Sany Silva Leite (co-lecturer). The opening will feature the participation of Journalist and civil server Paula Márcia Bittencourt Viana Klein, director of Communication at the TJTO, with a presentation by the team of the Communication Center of the Court (Cecom).
At the beginning, it will be addressed the strategic role of communication in the Judiciary, with a focus on transparency, credibility and institutional image, and the presentation of "who is who" of the area, detailing the fronts of acting in press, social networks, crisis management and content production.
The programming brings together theoretical and practical activities, with interview simulations, audio and video recordings, guided analysis of interviews and individual and collective technical feedback.
Among the contents provided are construction of key messages with clarity, control of narrative in interviews, preparation for unexpected questions, verbal and non-verbal communication, dictation, posture before the cameras and strategies of action in crisis scenarios.
