The closing ceremony of the "Judicial and Administrative Correction Technique" course, which took place on Friday (April 12th), was marked by the presence of Justice Maysa Vendramini Rosal, Chief Justice of the State of Tocantins. "I came to speak from the heart (...) this opportunity that all of you are having here to improve yourselves and to bring more knowledge, to deepen our work so that we can provide an even better service, is very gratifying," she emphasized.

She also emphasized the importance of dialogue and transparency in correctional activities.

"Dialogue and transparency have been very important to us. Dialogue makes a lot of difference, because we go to the corrections, we talk a lot with the civil servers, with the delegates too, with the registry offices, with the social sector, and what we see is that everyone wants an opportunity to talk about their work, their difficulties, and it's from there that we can find out what needs to be improved," she added.

In his comments, Judge Arióstenis Guimarães Vieira stressed the importance of conducting judicial activities. Facilitator Luís Antônio Capanema Pedrosa shared his positive experience of the three-day course.

"It's a pleasure to be here. We're here with the aim of improving the judiciary, you know? And to believe that it can be done. It's a job that delights me, you know? When we started, four years had passed without us having a face-to-face meeting. I said, well, is it going to be tiring? Is it going to be stressful? Afraid, right? But it passed quickly. And now I'm here on the last day and, man, if it were up to me, we'd keep going all week, you know? It's been a delight, and the feeling I get is that we're changing the State of Tocantins," he commented, also highlighting the pioneering role of the General Internal Affairs of Justice of the State of Tocantins in relation to other inspectorates in the country.

"They asked me, 'Don't you have a reference from another court? And the General Internal Affairs of Justice of the State of Tocantins, is it at the forefront? Don't we have another Internal Affairs department to point to as a reference like the one in the State of Tocantins? We don't," he said.

On the occasion, Legal Advisor Renato Alves Gomes took the opportunity to thank all his colleagues for attending the course. "It's a very difficult and specific thing in the whole area of corrections, but you understood the importance of getting to know this activity a little more. It's still an unknown activity. The more people who know about it, the more the Internal Affairs Department gains, the more the Judiciary gains," he said.

Also taught by Facilitator Carlos Henrique Borlido Haddad, the course aimed to train magistrates and civil servers to carry out more effective corrections, identifying the root causes of problems and acting in a modern and effective way to improve the functioning of judicial units.
