The activities of the course on "Accreditation in the New Law on Bidding and Contracts" come to an end on Tuesday afternoon (September 19th). The 16-hour course began the previous day (September 18th) and was taught by facilitator Paulo Roberto Teixeira.
The main objective of the course, which was aimed at civil servers from the Judiciary, was to prepare participants to understand and apply the new rules and procedures laid down in the recent Bidding and Contracts Law, focusing especially on transparency and efficiency in accreditation during public contracts.
Moacir Campos de Araújo, a Judicial Analyst at the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO), highlighted the relevance of the training given the recent updates to the legislation. "Today we are taking a course here specifically on accreditation and the other aspects that make up accreditation. I think this is quite interesting because accreditation, until then, in the old law, was not enshrined in law; it was more a question of legal adjustment. Now, with the new law, accreditation is treated as an auxiliary procedure. So it's extremely important that we actually have this training, since it brings a different configuration," he said.
