With the arrival of November, the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) is keeping its schedule active with a series of courses and events, registrations for which are now open. Check out some of the activities already announced below and get involved!
Servers day
In honor of the Servers Day, celebrated this Monday (October 28th), the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO) will host a special event in the auditorium of the TJTO on October 29th at 2pm. The programming includes a stand-up comedy session with comedian Diogo Portugal. This will be followed by the lecture on “Philosophical Advice for Being Happy”, by Ana Paula Leobas Maracaipe, who will promote reflections on happiness and well-being.

International seminar on rights of nature
On November 5th, the auditorium of the TJTO will host researchers from Brazil and Italy for the International Seminar on “Rights of Nature: Peace, Interculturality and Environmental Rights”. The event, which is open to the public, will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will discuss issues related to the rights of nature and environmental challenges.

Conversation: itinerant justice
On November 7th, Esmat will hold a conversation on “Itinerant Justice: Protecting Young Voices” in its auditorium, focusing on the protection of children and adolescents who are victims of sexual violence. The central theme of the debate will be “Perspectives and Challenges for the Implementation of Itinerant Justice” and it seeks to strengthen the network for monitoring and tackling these crimes.

Course on social-educational measures
The course on “Socio-educational Measures: Integral Protection, Methodologies, Challenges and Guarantee of Rights” is open for registrations until October 31st. The training is aimed at Judges, civil servers, trainees from the Judiciary, as well as professionals in the fields of Psychology, Social Work and Pedagogy who work in the socio-educational system.

Workshop on “COLLECTIVE ACTIONS”
The Workshop on “Collective Actions”, aimed at Judges and civil servers of the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins, will take place on November 11th.

Webinar on “ProCESSES OF DISCONNECTION OF CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS FROM INSTITUTIONAL FOSTER CARE”
On November 13th, Esmat will host the Webinar on “Processes of Disconnection of Children and Adolescents from Institutional Foster Care”, open to the community. The event will address the challenges of family reintegration, placement in a substitute family and the transition to adulthood.

COURSE ON FOSTER FAMILY
The training on “Foster Family: Care and Protection in the Foster Care Service” will have 80 places and it is aimed at magistrates, civil servers, managers and professionals linked to the Social Assistance Policy. The aim is to promote good practices in foster care and the protection of children and adolescents in vulnerable situations.

Jud Tocantins pop street task force
On November 22nd, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., the 1st Jud Tocantins Pop Street Task Force will be held at the Maria dos Reis Barros State School in the city of Palmas (TO). The event will mobilize Judges, civil servers, interns and volunteers to promote citizenship and social inclusion.
