Registrations for the Esmat Journalism Award 2023 remain open. The Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT) has already made public the Notice that presents the guidelines and criteria for participation. The contest is open to journalists, journalism students and communication professionals. It is a unique opportunity to demonstrate competence, creativity and dedication in the journalistic universe. Attention! The next publication of accepted registrations is scheduled for August 15th.
Award
In addition to the recognition for their outstanding performance in the area, the winners of the Award will receive cash prizes. With a total prize pool of R$ 55,500.00, applications may be submitted until October 9, 2023.

About the themes
Works (articles, reports, series of reports, photographs) produced in the State of Tocantins and published in the period from January 25th, 2023 to October 9th, 2023, in any city in the State of Tocantins or nationally, may compete for the award.
The content of the works must have as its theme the actions in defense of the construction of social justice, the promotion of human rights and the improvement of judicial provision, within the scope of the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins, within the following perspectives:
- Citizen Access to the Judiciary and Defense of Democracy;
- Defense of Human Rights and Freedom of Expression;
- Combating Diversion of Public Resources and Corruption;
- Ensuring Transparency of Information of Public Interest and Data Security;
- Access to Justice and Effectiveness of Judicial Decisions;
- Environmental, Agrarian and Land Issues, Promoting Sustainability and Securing Rights to Nature;
- Solutions for Improving the Judicial Provision.
The work with the best score among all the works registered in its respective category will be awarded.
