Ending the year with success, the team of the project on "arts, knowledge and crafts of the indigenous people of the state of Tocantins" of Esmat made technical visits to six indigenous villages in the state of Tocantins

The team of the Project on Arts, Knowledge and Crafts of the Indigenous Peoples of the State of Tocantins from the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT) held, between December 11th and 15th, six technical visits to the Mariazinha, Cipozal, Prata, Abacaxi, São José and Botica villages, of the Apinajé ethnic group, in the city of Tocantinópolis. All the visits were guided by professor Maria Aparecida Amnhàk Apinayé.

The meetings had the objective of presenting to the communities the proposal for the creation of a space, at Esmat, for the permanent exhibition of indigenous handicrafts, in addition to consulting the leaders about the project.

In this opportunity, the team also visited the Catàmjê village of the Krahô-Kanela people, in the city of Lagoa da Confusão, and delivered toys to children under 12 years old. The proposal is concerned with strengthening the Organizational Identity and Culture, aiming to show the historical dimension and rescue the images, recognizing the diversity of the original peoples of the State.
