The Judiciary of the State of Tocantins is launching the Residency Program with Access to Postgraduate Studies in Judicial Practice (PRJud), and applications for the selection process will be open from November 24th to 27th.
Aimed at law graduates, the PRJud welcomes candidates who have completed the course or have been graduated for up to five years at the time of taking up their post, if they are successful in the selection process. Students who are completing their law degree this year can also apply.
The program, promoted by the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins, through the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT), proposes the Legal Residency as a practical activity. This will provide access to a Lato Sensu Postgraduate Degree in Judicial Practice as a theoretical activity.
The Legal Residency, the practical part of the Program, will be held at the Courts and at the offices of the Court of Justice, as indicated in the Public Notice. The theoretical activity, the Lato Sensu Post-Graduation in Judicial Practice, will be offered at locations defined by Esmat, and it may take place in the city of Palmas, at the school or simultaneously in other regions of the State that best suit the residents.
Internship grant
Residents will be paid a monthly internship grant by the Court of Justice, for a period of 20 months, in the amount of RS 3,000.00 (three thousand reais), according to the TJTO Ordinance No. 2,623, of October 26th, 2023, published in the DJ No. 5,524.
Vacancies
The program will offer a total of 102 vacancies, distributed as follows:
- Eighty for the guidance and assistance of first-degree magistrates;
- Eight for the guidance and assistance of second-degree Judges;
- Two under the guidance of the coordinating magistrate of Nacom, whose activities will take place at the Center in the of Palmas/TO – 2nd Level;
- Nine for situations in which the Judge is responsible for more than one judicial unit in the same district, limited to two places per Judge
- One under the guidance of the magistrate coordinating the Justice 4.0 Public Health Center; and
- Two under the guidance of the coordinating magistrate of the Justice Center 4.0 Social Security..

Registration is free and it will only be accepted through the Contents Management System of Esmat (SGC), at the following website: https://sgc.tjto.jus.br/.
Selective Process
After the preliminary registration stage, the selection process will also include an Objective Test - multiple choice and a Discursive Test - essay, which will be held on January 21st.
