In commemoration of the Trainee Day, celebrated this Friday, August 18th, trainees from the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins took part in the seminar on "The impact of the traineeship on professional careers" in the auditorium of the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT). The theme of the event was Self-Knowledge and Self-Development as the foundations for the professional career growth.
The aim of the action was to encourage trainees to reflect on the relationships and work processes in which they are involved and to promote these relationships in a healthy, trustworthy and dignified manner in the institutional field of the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins.
Focusing on two themes, the speakers Karen Batista Sousa and Lilian Gama da Silva Póvoa addressed a content related to Emotional Intelligence, the challenges and trends for professional insertion and humanization of the internship, and the stages of the internship for the professional success.
For Karen Batista, it was a great thrill to be in the Esmat auditorium. She was a trainee at the Court of Justice and ended up seeing herself in each of the people present at the celebration. She is currently a professor of Civil Procedural Law, a writer and an advisor to the Court of Justice of the 3rd Civil Court of the District of Araguaína. She gave a lesson in self-motivation and climbing the ladder to success from the opportunity of an internship.
According to Lilian Gama, a Pedagogue, Lecturer and Master in education, the main key to success is emotional intelligence and good interpersonal relationships. According to her, internships are practice for professionals in the making. Knowing how to use it to improve their skills is essential.

Trainee Tábita Rafaela, from the Internal Affairs Department of the TJTO, commented on the event and said that it was an extremely significant afternoon for professional development. "I'm very happy to receive this recognition from the Judiciary and to have a day dedicated to us. The lectures presented were of immense importance to our career, because they provided very valuable lessons for us trainees. This experience encourages us to pursue with determination the dream that all university students have," she said.
Karen Batista Sousa, sharing her perspectives, mentioned that her book “Grow and Make” was based on her experiences as a volunteer trainee at the Court of Justice. For her, it's not just a personal achievement, but also the opportunity to hope from what she has experienced and thus reach places she never imagined.
