Course On Defensive And Evasive Driving Has First Class Held With Focus On Institutional Security

In order to strengthen the culture of institutional security and prepare magistrates and civil servers of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO) to react with technique and efficiency to risk situations, it was held on Tuesday (October 21st), the first class of the course on Defensive and Evasive Driving. Promoted by the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT), the training includes a programming aimed at preventing threats and improving practical skills in traffic.

The other classes of the course are aimed at different audiences, including military members of the Military Advisory of the TJTO and drivers who work in the Presidency, in the General Internal Affairs of Justice and in the offices of justices. With an 8-hour class load, the training is conducted by instructors with experience in public safety, tactical maneuvers and specialized vehicular driving.

During the theoretical stage, held at Esmat, the participants had contact with contents on vehicle maintenance, basic mechanics, ergonomics and operation of ABS brakes. In the practical stage, held at Rubens Barrichello Kart racing circuit, the classes participated in simulations with techniques of slalom, invasive reverse, emergency braking, evasive maneuvers and peripheral vision control, all under technical supervision and with security support on site.

The course has the coordination of Judge José Ribamar Mendes Júnior and it follows this Wednesday and Thursday (October 22nd and 23rd), with Classes II and III.
