Course On Official Writing Stimulates Good Textual Practices In The Judiciary Of The State Of Tocantins

On Tuesday (October 21st), the first class of the course on Official Writing in the Judiciary: practice of the shifts began. Promoted by the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT), the training aims to improve the skills of civil servers in the production of administrative texts, based on the rules and principles of official writing.

In the opening web class, led by the facilitators Valcir Gassen and Denise Sodré, the participants were introduced to the fundamentals of language, exploring the syntactic, semantic and pragmatic levels of the legal text, as well as the differences among natural language, technical and symbolic, fundamental aspects for effective communication in the public service.

With a class load of 12 hours and mandatory activities in the Virtual Learning Environment (AVA), the course will have two more synchronous meetings: on October 23rd and 28th, always from 2 to 5 pm, via Google Meet. The classes address contents such as institutional communication, cohesion and textual coherence, in addition to practical workshops focusing on the main administrative procedures used in the scope of the Judiciary.

The training is a strategic response to the skills gaps identified by the Directorate of People Management, in the context of the Skills Management Project of the TJTO. Class II is scheduled to start on October 30th.
