Esmat promotes a course that integrates psychoanalysis and law to improve legal understanding

The course on "Dialog between Psychoanalysis and Law" began this Wednesday morning (May 24th) and will continue until May 26th. The action, held by the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT), brings together magistrates, legal advisors and servers working in the Management Group of Multidisciplinary Teams of the Court of Justice.

With a class load of 24 hours, the course is being held in Esmat and its main objective is to think and debate Law today, considering a perspective based on psychoanalytic theory. The proposal is that this approach will contribute to the solution of litigations, broadening the understanding and perception of family and criminological bonds in the processes underway in the Judiciary.

In the first Module, entitled as "Introduction to Psychoanalysis for Dialogue with Law", the responsible teachers are Professor Carlos Mendes Rosa and the co docent Franciana Di Fátima Cardoso. In the next classes, students will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in Modules II and III, entitled as "Family Conflicts, Justice, and the Social Bond" and "Violence, Law, and Justice - Psychoanalysis and Criminology", respectively, with Professor Luisa Carvalho Miranda de Lima and co docent Milena Santana de Araújo Lima.
