On Monday afternoon (May 9th), the classes of the Basic Environmental Mediation Training Course started, aimed at Environmental and Forestry Engineering professionals, agronomists, and public servers from municipal, state, and federal public institutions that deal with agrarian conflicts. Promoted by the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins, the training course has a class load of 100 hours.
The course aims to train participants to act in mediation, in order to consolidate the consensual methods of conflict treatment, especially mediation and conciliation in environmental matters, social pacification and broad access to justice, the main objectives of the National Judicial Policy for Adequate Treatment of Conflicts of Interest, established by Resolution No. 125 of the National Council of Justice, November 29th, 2010.
The theoretical classes continue virtually until June 30th, and the practical part takes place from June 30th to December 16th, 2022.
