On November 22nd, the Maria dos Reis Barros State School in the Taquari sector of the city of Palmas will become a great space for citizenship. The school unit will host the 1st Jud Tocantins Pop Street Task Force, an initiative of the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins (PJTO) in partnership with public institutions and private partnerships (BAR, love hospital, merchants, registrars and notaries associations, etc).
To mobilize the population of the Taquari sector and region, the assistant Judge of the Presidency of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO), Rosa Maria Gazire Rossi, was on Wednesday (October 30th) in the school unit to know the structure of the site, occasion in which she spoke with the President of the Association of the Neighborhood Residents, Antoniel Oliveira, and explained about the project and the services that will be offered.
The Judge pointed out that the action will be directed to people living on the street in the city of Palmas, and to residents of Taquari, Cappadocia and region. All people will go through a screening and be accompanied by a volunteer.
"Many think that it is not the role of the judiciary to promote actions like this, but from these initiatives, I become more human and I can see the processes with other eyes".
The President of the Association of Taquari Residents stressed the importance of initiatives such as the Jud Pop Street for the rescue of citizenship. "It is an opportunity for people who are in extreme social vulnerability to have access to public services, such as civil registration, identity. The expectation is of a lot of demand for services that will be offered, since we are in a peripheral neighborhood and that the general characteristic is people in social vulnerability. The gratuity of these services will attract the attention of people in need," he said, thanking TJTO for the initiative. "Just thank the opportunity of the Court of Justice to bring these services here for us from Taquari and say that the Association of Residents is always available to be this channel of communication with the community and the Judiciary".
Among the services that will be offered during the Jud Pop Street are the issuance of ID, certificates, legal advice and assistance, community marriage, health cart, haircut, room of knowledge and solidary clothesline.
Community marriage
During the action, it will also be held the community marriage. Interested parties can register on November 5th, at 5 pm, at the Maria dos Reis Barros State School. A team of the registry office will be present for attendance.
The following documents are required:
- requirement signed by the bride and groom;
- identity document (RG or CNH) and CPF;
- original birth certificate, issued less than 6 months ago, for single;
- marriage certificate with divorce registration issued less than 6 months ago, together with a copy of the judgment or initial petition containing the division of property, or public deed of divorce, for divorced;
- marriage certificate with death certificate, issued less than 6 months ago, together with the copy of the death certificate and inventory verification of assets, for widows;
- two witnesses over 18 years (cannot be the parents of the bride and groom), with RG and CPF.
It is worth remembering that the marriage is for people 18 years or older. For minors, 16 or 17 years, parental consent is required (father and mother). The minimum age for marriage is 16.
Jud pop street
The task force meets the Resolution no 425/2021, of the National Council of Justice (CNJ), which establishes the National Judicial Policy of Attention to People in Street Situations and their intersectionality and it aims to contribute to overcome the barriers resulting from multiple economic and social vulnerabilities, as well as the precarious situation and/ or lack of housing of the target population of the initiative.
Volunteers
Magistrates, servers and interns, active or inactive, of the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins and servers, members and trainees of the partner institutions formalized by the Technical Cooperation Agreement no 6, of 2024, can act voluntarily in the 1st Jud Tocantins Pop Street Task Force. Before the event, on November 19th, the volunteers will participate in a training on the activities of the group and general guidelines for serving the target audience. The training will be held in partnership with the Superior School of the the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat), at 2 pm, in the auditorium of the TJTO, and it will have a workload of 2 hours.
All the volunteers will be entitled to the certification of participation in the practical activities of the task force, issued by the TJTO, in partnership with Esmat.
