Judiciary Launches Glossary Of Diversity, Inclusion And Anti-Racist Language

The Glossary of Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Racist Language was launched at the opening of the 1st  Week of Dialogues on Equality and Diversity on Tuesday (October 17th). The publication is available for consultation on the website of the Justice Department of the State of Tocantins (CGJUS).

The Glossary brings together concepts and expressions related to diversity and racism, and it was drawn up by the manager of the Goal 2H of CGJUS, Judge Renata do Nascimento e Silva, and civil servers Fabíola Aparecida de Assis Vangelato and Lorena Borges Marra, with revision by Professor Kyldes Vicente, Dean of Research and Extension at Unitins.

The publication was produced with a view to the development of affirmative institutional actions and valuing ethnic-racial diversity, gender, socio-economic equity and accessibility. The aim is for the publication to be a source of guidance and teaching on the terms and expressions that imply respect for diversity, thus ensuring harmonious coexistence with differences.

"We need to disseminate a culture of respect, appreciation and inclusion of people, thus fostering an increasingly respectful and inclusive society," said the Deputy Ombudsman during the launch.
