Esmat Offers More Than 15 Courses In October; Check It Out

With a diverse training agenda, the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) continues to promote educational activities aimed at the continuous training of magistrates, civil servers, and institutional partners. This article lists the courses scheduled for October. The list of events, such as WORKSHOPS and seminars, can be found in a separate text, available at this link.

Starting the month, the course on Administrative Management began on Thursday, October 2nd, aimed at court directors and civil servers from the General Internal Affairs of Justice (CGJUS). The training seeks to develop leadership and management skills focused on building productive, respectful, and safe work environments.

On Monday, October 6th, the course on “Generative Artificial Intelligence with the GOOGLE CLOUD platform” begins, with the participation of employees from the Directorate of Information Technology (DTINF). Held virtually, the training has a workload of 30 hours and it proposes the efficient use of GOOGLE tools with a focus on digital learning. More information is available in the notice.

On October 7th and 8th, it will be the time for the Course on General Personal Data Protection Law (LGPD) applied to Extrajudicial Services in the State of Tocantins. The training covers everything from legal fundamentals to practical aspects of information governance and security incidents. Forty places are available, exclusively for service providers and those responsible for the services.

On October 8th and 9th, classes I and II of the course on Assistance to People with Disabilities and Neurodiversities, taught by Anderson Carvalho da Silva, who holds a master's degree in education, will begin. The training offers practical guidance for the qualified and human reception of people with disabilities, focusing on the civil servers of the TJTO in the field, such as receptionists, security guards, and military police officers linked to the Judiciary.

On October 10th, Porto Nacional will host the course on “Prevention and Personal Defense for Women,” aimed at female magistrates, civil servers, trainees, employees, and outsourced. The initiative is coordinated by Judge Cirlene Maria de Assis Santos Oliveira, state coordinator for Women in Situations of Domestic and Family Violence. The training is part of the PAHS Program and it complies with the Recommendation No. 102 of the CNJ, of 2021.

On October 14th and 15th, the course on Foundations of Judicial Calculations will be held, aimed at civil servers who work in the support of judicial activities. The aim is to strengthen technical and legal understanding of the preparation of judicial calculations, highlighting their importance for the effectiveness of decisions. The course will be taught by Niely Talles Tavares de Sá, secretary of the Unified Judicial Accounting of the TJTO.

On October 16th and 17th, the course on Anti-Corruption Law: Material, Investigative, and Procedural Aspects will be held, coordinated by Judge Flávia Afini Bovo. The training will be held in person at Esmat and it will last 16 hours. Aimed at magistrates and civil servers, the course seeks to broaden understanding of legislation to combat corruption and administrative impropriety. From October 20th to 24th, two courses will be held simultaneously. One is the course on Behavioral Analysis for Intelligence Interviews, coordinated by Justice Jacqueline Adorno. The training is aimed at professionals nominated by partner institutions, such as NIS/ASMIL (Association of Military Servers), the Military Police, the State Prosecution, and other intelligence agencies. The other is the Cybersecurity Course, which will address network and data protection strategies. Participation is by nomination via the SEI process, until October 14th.

During the same period, from October 20th to November 7th, the course on Improvement of the Bailiff in Foreclosure and Assessment will be held in the distance learning (live) modality. The training is aimed at court officers and it aims to update participants on technical procedures related to court orders for foreclosure and assessment. From October 21st to 23rd, Esmat will offer three classes of the course on Defensive and Evasive Driving, focused on practical training in tactical driving techniques. The classes will be formed by magistrates, drivers from the TJTO and the General Internal Affairs of Justice, as well as military personnel from the Military Advisory. Registrations will be available starting October 7th and they will be done by nomination.

Also in October, a course on Official Writing in the Judiciary: practical procedures will be held, with classes aimed at civil servers and trainees of the TJTO. The aim is to develop skills for producing clear, coherent administrative texts in accordance with institutional standards. From October 22nd to 30th, a course on Elaborating Preliminary Technical Studies and Terms of Reference will be offered, aimed at designated civil servers. The training will be taught by Antônio Fernandes Soares Netto, a doctoral student in Information Science, with virtual classes. Additional information can be found in the notice.

Closing out the month, on October 23rd and 24th, the course on Portuguese Language: Grammar and Official Writing will be held. The training is coordinated by Judge Wellington Magalhães and it is aimed at civil servers and trainees nominated by the Directorate of People Management. The course aims to improve technical and linguistic skills in the drafting of official documents, based on standard language and the Writing Manual of the Presidency of the Republic.

Finally, registrations for Class I of the course on Arming and Shooting Applied to the Protection of Authorities are open until October 13th. Esmat will offer five classes for this course. Class I will be exclusively for magistrates; the others, aimed at military police officers from Asmil, will take place in November. More information can be found at here.
