Course On Media Training Prepares Spokespeople For The Judiciary Of The State Of Tocantins To Communicate With The Press

The Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) holds, from March 9th to 13th, the course on "Media Training for Spokepeople of the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins", with 40 hours-class, in the face-to-face mode, in the city of Palmas (TO). The training is an action that will have 30 vacancies, intended for magistrates and civil servers nominated by the Presidency of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO).

As provided for in the Notice No. 021 of 2026, the course aims to "offer strategic training in Media Training for those registered who act as institutional spokespeople, with a focus on improving relations with the press, institutional projection and prevention of risks and image crises".

The course is coordinated by the president of the TJTO Maysa Vendramini Rosal and Judge Wellington Magalhães, Deputy Director of Superior Studies and Research at Esmat. The activities will be conducted by the Legal Journalist and Media Trainer João Camargo Neto (lecturer) and the master and doctoral student Lily Sany Silva Leite (co-lecturer).

The opening will feature the participation of Paula Márcia Bittencourt Viana Klein, director of communication of the TJTO, with a presentation from the communication team of the Court. At the beginning, it will be addressed the strategic role of communication in the Judiciary, with a focus on transparency, credibility and institutional image, and the presentation of "who is who" of the area, detailing the fronts of acting in press, social networks, crisis management and content production.

The programming combines theoretical and practical moments, with interview simulations, audio and video recordings, guided analysis of interviews and individual and collective technical feedback. Among the contents, there are the construction of key messages with clarity, control of the narrative in interviews, preparation for unexpected questions, verbal and non-verbal communication, dictation and posture before the cameras, as well as strategies for acting in crisis scenarios.
