With the aim of promoting technical and institutional alignment, through the exchange of experiences and qualified listening to accredited professionals in the technical areas of Social Work, Education, and Psychology, the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins, through the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat), is holding this Thursday (Nov 27th) the First Meeting of the Management Group of Multidisciplinary Teams (GGEM) of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO).

The purpose of the meeting, requested by the GGEM itself, is to align practices, priorities, and institutional guidelines, in addition to strengthening the joint work of the areas of Psychology, Social Work, and Education within the Judiciary, consolidating a permanent channel of dialogue between members and accredited professionals.

At the opening, the assistant judge of the Presidency of the TJTO, Esmar Custódio Vêncio Filho, representing the president of the Court, Justice Maysa Vendramini Rosal, highlighted that in-person events expand the exchange of experiences and strengthen the shared management of the group.

He recalled that, before 2016, the absence of structured multidisciplinary teams made technical support precarious and especially affected the sensitive area of Childhood and Youth, reinforcing that the consolidation of GGEM qualified psychosocial studies and, with that, contributed to safer decisions focused on the comprehensive protection of children and adolescents.

“The creation of GGEM in 2016, based on this accreditation model, enabled it to quickly expand its teams throughout the State. Today, all magistrates can instantly request a psychosocial study, i.e., a report from GGEM, which is prepared by a professional qualified for the task," he said.

For the general coordinator of GGEM, Social Worker Jocelaine Lago Dalanora, the meeting responds to a long-standing demand from accredited professionals for a greater institutional proximity, since their work is decentralized and largely mediated by systems and remote communication. According to her, this is a strategic moment for systematizing the work process, aligning planning, and listening to the perceptions of professionals, who now number 1,680 accredited in virtually all municipalities in the state of Tocantins, ensuring that processes are handled, even with travel to locations that do not yet have accredited professionals.

“For us at GGEM, this is a very important moment, because we are in the process of systematizing our work, implementing the Credenciar (Accredit) System, and aligning our planning. Today, we have strategic planning, we have proposals for action, and we now have the opportunity to add value," she said.
