Registrations Are Open For The Iii Seminar Of The Elderly Person Of The Judiciary Of The State Of Tocantins

The Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) has open registrations for the III Seminar of the Elderly Person of the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins, which will be held on October 1st, from 2pm to 6pm, in the auditorium of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO), in the city of Palmas.

With the theme on "Justice, care and ancestry", the event aims to promote a space for critical reflection and technical deepening on the mental health of the elderly, highlighting its importance as an essential component for dignified and active aging.

The initiative is coordinated by Judge Márcio Soares da Cunha, member of the State Coordination of the Elderly Person (Cocid) and responsible for the Management Unit of Precedents and Collective Actions of the TJTO.

The programming will include lectures, panels and cultural presentations, with the participation of researchers, lawyers and health professionals. Among the highlights are Writer and activist Eliane Potiguara, Doctor Karla Giacomin and Psychologist Monique Débora Carvalho da Silva, who will bring approaches to ancestry, mental health and the right to care as foundations for a dignified old age.

The seminar is aimed at magistrates, civil servers, trainees, professionals of the Justice System, students and representatives of civil society. The total workload is 4 hours-class, with right to certification.

The action integrates the institutional policy of valuing the elderly within the Judiciary, in line with the Resolution no 520 of the National Council of Justice (CNJ), of 2023, which establishes national guidelines on the subject.
