2ND Encope: System of Judicial Corrections is presented and a Letter consolidates the deliberations of the event

In continuity to the program of the 2nd Meeting of the Permanent Inspector Judges and the General Internal Affairs of Justice of the State of Tocantins (ENCOPE), the afternoon period of this Friday (2nd) was reserved for debates and discussions about the improvement of the first instance.

On the occasion, Justice Etelvina Maria Sampaio Felipe electronically signed the Provision number 13, which institutes and regulates the use of the System of Judicial Corrections – SICOR, in the scope of the General Internal Affairs of Justice of the State of Tocantins, as well as the procedure for judicial corrections and inspections in the judicial units and prison, social and educational, and foster care in the districts of the State of Tocantins, and makes other provisions.

“At this first moment of the presentation of Sicor, the system is only for the General Internal Affairs of Justice. But we are working so that by December of this year we will also have a module for magistrates,” explained the Chief Justice.

The presentation of Sicor was made by the coordinator of Correction, Planning and Improvement of the First Instance, Lilian Carvalho Lopes, Who thanked for the confidence in her work, “developing a system requires a lot of responsibility and trust, I thank the support of Justice Etelvina. It is important to stress that until today we didn’t have a database that captured all the information about the corrections, now we do!

Following the panels presented during the morning, the speaker Patric Silva Guimarães, from the Court of Justice of the State of Bahia, clarified, during his presentation, the main doubts about disciplinary procedures, besides detailing the functionalities of PJCOR, the system of the National Council of Justice to integrate the information from the General Internal Affairs of the Courts.

During the fourth and last panel, Lílian Gama, Master in Education from the Federal University of the State of Tocantins (UFT), presented the "The weaving of affection in human relations: building collaborative networks in the spaces of the General Internal Affairs of Justice" lecture. 

"Our role as the Judiciary is to look at the other from a human perspective as a presupposed of ethics. We are responsible for building a fairer and humanitarian society," she said.
