Jurimetry And Innovation: Civil Servers Of The TJTO Will Be Trained For Analysis Of Legal Data

The Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) will hold, from November 4th to 26th, the course on “Analysis of Legal Data at the TJTO: Foundations of Jurimetrics and AI,” aimed at civil servers of the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins who work directly with collection management, productivity, goals, precedents, class actions, and the parameterization of judicial systems.

With a total workload of 30 class hours, the training will be held in a hybrid format: the distance learning stage will take place on November 4th and 11th, while the in-person stage will take place from November 24th to 26th, at Esmat.

The aim of the course, coordinated by Judge Arióstenis Guimarães Vieira, is to develop technical skills for the use of jurimetrics and artificial intelligence in the legal context, especially in the formulation of empirical research and the analysis of legal data. The content will be taught by Professors José de Jesus Filho and Alexandre Nicolella. There are 50 places available, distributed among strategic technical units, such as

  • Goals and Indicators Monitoring Division (Divmon)
  • Precedent and Class Action Management Center (Nugepac)
  • Judicial Research Group (GPJ)
  • Parameterization Center (Nupara))
