The Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) closed on Friday (September 5th), the second class of the course on "Planning of Public Contracts supported by Artificial Intelligence, in accordance with the New Law of Biddings". Aimed at civil servers of the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins that work directly with biddings, contracts and risk management, the training had a workload of 16 hours.

With a predominantly practical methodology, the activities, started on the 4th, aimed to train public servers to understand and apply concepts and tools of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the planning, execution and control of public contracts, promoting more efficiency, transparency and innovation in administrative processes, in the light of the Law no 14.133 of 2021, Resolution no 468 of the CNJ and related regulations.

The course was taught by Silvio César da Silva Lima, specialist in public contracts and technical advisor of the General Attorney of the Union (AGU). The programming included demonstrations of generative AI tools, such as virtual legal assistants, as well as workshops for direct application of knowledge in simulated cases.

In addition to the technical approach, the contents promoted reflections on risks and ethical limits of the AI use in Public Administration, such as algorithmic bias, transparency and governance.
