Training On Lgpd Will Be Held In September At Esmat

On September 11th, the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) will hold a course entitled on “Training for the Head and Members of the Personal Data Protection Management Committee,” aimed at magistrates and civil servers of the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins. The activity will be in person, with a workload of 8 class hours, and it will take place at Esmat in the city of Palmas.

The training is coordinated by the vice president of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO), Justice Jacqueline Adorno de La Cruz Barbosa.

Using an expository-dialogued methodology and a practical approach, the course will address topics such as the fundamentals of the General Data Protection Law (LGPD), the strategic role of data protection officers and management committees, data governance in the Judiciary, and the regulatory perspectives of the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).

The modules will be taught by Justice Denise de Souza Luiz Francoski and Professor Marcello Muller Teive, both of whom have experience in implementing the LGPD at the Court of Justice of the state of Santa Catarina (TJSC). The programming also includes case studies and activities focused on the institutional reality of the participants.

The initiative seeks to train and update the heads and members of the Personal Data Protection Committees of the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins on the obligations set forth in the LGPD, the specific challenges of its application in the judicial context, and the main issues debated by experts and regulatory bodies.

Registrations will be open until August 26th, upon recommendation by supervisors and submission of the information requested in the Notice.
