Esmat Starts The Tenth Class Of The Course On Financial Education For Consumers

On April 4th, the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) began the tenth class of the course on Financial Education for Consumers - My bills are up to date, aimed at consumers in situations of over-indebtedness with pre-procedural assistance filed in the eproc system at the Cejuscs and Cejusc Ulbra.

With a class load of 20 hours, the training is divided into four modules and it will continue until May 15th, in a hybrid format, with face-to-face meetings held at the Cejusc Ulbra and virtual activities through the Virtual Learning Environment of Esmat (AVA).

The course aims to offer financial education and psychosocial support to consumers, discussing issues related to consumption and over-indebtedness, with the aim of helping to renegotiate debts, in accordance with the Law No. 14.181, of 2021, which amended the Consumer Protection Code (Law No. 8.078, of 1990), especially the article 104-A, which deals with the process of collectively renegotiating debts.

The first module is taught by facilitator Rogério Lopes da Conceição and it covers concepts of financial education, money protection, strategies to avoid debt, how to organize finances, recommendation No. 125 of 2021 of the CNJ, among other topics.
