Donate a book is sowing knowledge and transforming realities. With this purpose, the General Internal Affairs of Justice of the state of Tocantins, through the Leia+ (Read+) Project, carries out a campaign of books, magazines and comic books collection that will integrate the actions of the Week for National Civil Registration, held from April 13th to 17th. The proposal unites citizenship and access to culture, leading reading to the public that participates in the program on Register Yourself at different points of service.

During the programming, all collected material will be available for reading by people waiting for service, transforming the waiting time into an opportunity to contact with stories, information and knowledge. The initiative expands the performance of Leia+ (Read+), developed at the General Internal Affairs of Justice, and takes you to the spaces where the Register Yourself will take place, in an itinerant format, inaugurating a new stage of the project and bringing reading even closer to the audience.

Until March 31st, books of literature in general, adult and children can be donated, as well as magazines and comic books, once they are in good condition. The collection points are located at the headquarters of the Court of Justice, in the Annex I, in the General Internal, in Esmat and in the Forum, facilitating the participation of civil servers, magistrates and the community in general.

For the server Alecsandre Oliveira, the action represents a new moment for the project.

“Leia+ (read+) leaves the headquarters of the General Internal Affairs where it traditionally works to monitor the Register Yourself. It is a new experience, with the expectation of offering something different and positive to the audience present. For us, it is a joy to be able to bring reading and culture through various books", he highlighted.

By integrating the programming of the Week for National Civil Registration, the Leia+ (Read+) Project reaffirms the institutional commitment to ensure rights and, at the same time, promote access to cultural training. The action broadens the social dimension of the action, recognizing that ensuring citizenship also involves providing opportunities for access to reading and qualified information, strengthening the dignity of the people served.
