The Judiciary of the state of Tocantins, through the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat), held on Monday (Feb 9th), the ceremony of delivery of certificates to the graduates of the Class III of the Residency Program in Legal Practice and Lato Sensu degree in Judicial Practice. A total of 88 residents received the certification, consolidating another training stage aimed at strengthening the judicial provision in the State.
The ceremony brought together magistrates, civil servers, residents and guests, marking the end of a training cycle that integrates academic training and practical experience in the judicial environment, contributing to the qualification of committed professionals with justice and the public interest.
In her speech, the president of the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins, Justice Maysa Vendramini Rosal, highlighted the importance of practical training combined with theoretical knowledge and institutional commitment to the qualification of law professionals.
“The combination between theory and practice is essential for the training of professionals more prepared, ethical and sensitive to social reality. It is in this direct contact with the judicial provision that a human vision is built, responsible and committed to the public interest", she said.
The general director of Esmat, Justice Marco Villas Boas, stressed the commitment of the institution to legal training of excellence and oriented to concrete results. "Esmat focuses on professional training aimed at the improvement of the institutions and life of society".
Villas Boas, who was a PhD professor with the discipline of tools using Generative Artificial Intelligence allied to the Judiciary, also recalled the standard of excellence in teaching promoted by Esmat.
“This is a class that completes the program with a high level of preparation, the result of effort, dedication and commitment to continuous improvement".
Graduates
Representing the residents, the class speaker, Débora Barros da Silva, emphasized the transformative impact of the experience. "More than a post graduation, the legal residency was a real immersion in the practice and essence of legal work, combining solid theoretical training with practical experience alongside magistrates and civil servers," she said.
Among the graduates, João Pedro Alves highlighted the feeling of accomplishment and the relevance of the experience for his professional career.
“It is a feeling of gratitude to complete a high-level graduate degree, which provided us not only the theoretical training but also the practical performance in the office of magistrate, contributing significantly to our professional preparation", he said.
Ana Carolina Adorno also highlighted the quality of the training offered. "The Legal Residency Program was an excellent experience, which combined theoretical training, through post graduation studies taught by magistrates and civil servers of the Court of Justice, with professional practice in the offices, under direct guidance of magistrates".
