ESMATCast, the communication podcast of the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins, opened the season of 2026 with a special episode on the STRICTO SENSU Post-Graduation Program in Judicial Provision and Human Rights (PPGPJDH), which reached grade 5 in the Quadrennial Evaluation of Capes and began to operate officially in an associative format between the Federal University of the state of Tocantins (UFT) and Esmat.
The guest of the episode is Doctor Professor Tarsis Barreto, coordinator of the program. He explains what changes, in practice, with the consolidation of the associative model and details the meaning of note 5, considered a level of excellence in the Brazilian post graduatio.
During the conversation, the professor highlights the criteria that contributed to the result, such as academic and professional production, faculty quality, internationalization, social impact actions and the insertion of the program in the Justice System. According to him, the evaluation recognizes not only the scientific production, but also the concrete results generated for the improvement of judicial provision and for the promotion of human rights.
Another highlight is the guidance to candidates interested in participating in the selection processes of master’s and doctorate. The coordinator reinforces the importance of a well-thought out project, feasible and aligned to the notice, in addition to sharing practical tips for those who are in the registration phase.
Selective process
Applications for the master’s degree and doctorate remain open until this Friday (Jan 30th), at 4:59 pm. The program is aimed at graduated professionals - and, in the case of the doctorate, with title of master - especially magistrates, civil servers and members of partner institutions of the Justice System.
The selection process is carried out exclusively by the Contest Management System (SGC) of Esmat, with a registration fee of R$ 150.00 (one hundred and fifty reias). The selection involves stages such as approval, evaluation of the project, interview and analysis of titles (barema), as provided for in the notices.
The notices have been corrected, with updated information, including the Public Defender’s Office of the State of Tocantins (DPE/ TO) among the institutions covered and adjustments in the number of vacancies. Questions can be sent to the e-mail
