TJTO Carries Out Campaign To Discard Diaries And Calendars Of 2025

Lucas Nascimento (TJTO)

The Judiciary of the state of Tocantins began the campaign of conscious and sustainable disposal of agendas and calendars for the year 2025. The action is directed to magistrates, civil servers, trainees and other employees of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO).

Ongoing and in its fourth year of implementation, the initiative reinforces the institutional commitment to sustainability and social and environmental responsibility.

The Coordination of Socio-Environmental Management and Social Responsibility (Cogersa) guides that recyclable materials are deposited in specific collectors for paper, available in the premises of the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins.

In order to promote environmentally appropriate disposal and, at the same time, strengthen the socioeconomic aspect of the workers of the low-impact recycling chain, all collected material will be forwarded to cooperatives and associations of waste pickers of recyclable materials awarded to the TJTO.

The campaign is aligned with the Resolution no 400, amended by the Resolution no 550 of the National Council of Justice (CNJ), of 2024, which establishes that environmentally responsible actions should prioritize the reduction of impacts to the environment, having as premises the decrease in consumption, the reuse and recycling of materials, the review of consumption patterns and the analysis of the life cycle of products.

Districts

In the interior regions of the State, Cogersa guides the provision of specific Voluntary Delivery Points for the disposal of this type of material. As it happens in the city of Palmas, the items collected must be destined to associations or cooperatives of the respective municipalities. Where there are no such entities, after weighing the collected material, the guidance is that it be sent to the city of Palmas for environmentally correct destination.
