Registrations are open until November 14th for the second edition of the Green Seal Award, an initiative of the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins that recognizes administrative and judicial units committed to socio-environmental practices aligned with the project on "Planting for comPENSAR (Compensate) 2025".

The notice, signed by the president of the Court of Justice, Justice Maysa Vendramini Rosal, and by the president of the Management Commission for the Sustainable Logistics Plan (PLS-PJTO), Ângela Prudente, was published on Tuesday (November 4th).

The award values the engagement of magistrates, civil servers and collaborators who develop initiatives aimed at environmental awareness and compensation for emissions of greenhouse gases (GEEs), especially by planting native seedlings of the Cerrado Biome.

"This year, we expanded its scope of action, uniting awareness and compensation of greenhouse gas emissions, in line with the Zero Carbon Justice Program, instituted by the CNJ", highlighted Justice Ângela Prudente.

Units of the TJTO (including annexes), of the General Internal Affairs of Justice (CGJUS), of the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat), of the Psychosocial Support and Monitoring Center of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (NAPsi) and of the counties may compete for the prize.

Stages

The competition includes phases of accession, execution of actions and delivery of follow-up reports, according to the deadlines set in the notice. Each unit should designate a representative responsible for local coordination.

Among the possible actions are: educational activities on rational use of energy, water, paper and mobility; planting native seedlings respecting technical orientation and diversity; and articulation with schools, public institutions and communities.

Evaluation and awarding

The evaluation will be done by score, considering criteria such as adherence, awareness actions, number of seedlings planted and mobilization of partners.

The first and second placed of the following categories will be awarded: Court of Justice and Annexes, CGJUS, Esmat and NAPsi; Final Entry Counties; Intermediate Entry Counties; and Initial Entry Counties.

The members of the winning units (1st place) will receive a day off and praise in the functional settlements, valid for removal purposes due to merit.

The award ceremony is scheduled for June of 2026.

"If in the first edition we already noticed the inspiring engagement of the regions, in this new phase we want to further strengthen the importance of this initiative, not only for the Judiciary, but also for the environment and for future generations," concluded the president of the PLS Management Commission, Justice Ângela Prudente.
