“I collect miracles, but if I could choose, I would not collect them", said the cancer patient, Liliane Mamprim, when opening the 2nd edition of the Tea with Women, an afternoon of information in allusion to the Pink October, promoted by the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO), through the Health Center (Cesau). The action was held in the auditorium of the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat), in the afternoon of this Friday (October 24th).

Today, at the age of 50, Liliane Mamprim, a psychologist, celebrates life by remembering that at 29 years old, shortly after she got married, she was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer for the first time. "In 2003, I diagnosed the tumor; it was 9 cm and between the lung and the heart. The doctors gave me six months to live. There were twelve sessions of chemotherapy, eight of radiotherapy, and my faith, education and healthy lifestyle helped me to overcome," said Liliane, noting that, thinking that everything was fine, "two years later I discovered a breast cancer with metastasis in the left breast. Another fight, but I won. It will be five years now, in December, that I had cancer and I take possession: I am cured", she concluded.

As the guest psychologist, who gave her testimony, the second guest, the gynecologist, Thais Carreira, also shared with the civil servers that cancer does not choose the target. Even fulfilling all protocols, without drinking or smoking, maintaining a healthy diet and the habit of physical activity, at 31 years old, in 2023, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. "Sometimes we even think: what good did all this?" , said in a relaxed tone, warning that the cancer is multi factorial, and that the protocols presented are in fact preventive measures, while mammography, for example, is a screening examination that we must be aware to do at least once a year, from 40 years old, pondered.

Employee of the TJTO Vilmara Bianchi, who faced cancer in 2020, described the meeting as a moment of deep emotion. "People who are cancer patients identify with every life story. I loved it!"

The gynecologist, Francielle Batista, spoke about the main types of cancer that affect women and their relationship with hormones, being they: breast cancer, cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, endometrial cancer, intestinal (colorectal) cancer and thyroid cancer.

To maintain hormonal control, the specialist highlighted physical exercise as one of the main hormonal regulators, but did not rule out replacement when necessary, noting that from 35 years it is recommended to start hormone replacement with progesterone.

For the civil server of the Directorate of People Management (Digep), Marly Carvalho, the moment was a watershed. "I had a lot of fibroids, I removed my uterus more than seven years ago and I feel a lot of irritability, and no doctor had warned me about the hormonal issue. Today, in the round of conversation, it was enlightening for me. Dr. Francielle brought the subject very lightly. I leave here aware of my problem. It was very good!"

The coordinator of Cesau/ TJTO, Elaine Ferreira, celebrated the success of the event. "The tea is in its second edition and it has been consolidated more and more, showing inspiring stories, but above all proving that prevention is always the best way to good health".

Cesau is linked to the Directorate of People Management and it acts in health promotion and disease prevention, with encouragement to practice healthy habits that preserve their own physical and mental health. Accompanied by the coordinator Elaine, the director of Digep, Paula Maia; the Nurse Thatyléia Leão; and the Social Worker Ana Paula Prado Peixoto.
