Giseli: Artificial Intelligence Of The Judiciary Of The State Of Tocantins Is Finalist Of The Conip Award For Excellence In Public Management

The tool for Integrated Management of Extrajudicial Settlements with Intelligent Language (GiseLI), developed by the Judiciary Branch of the state of Tocantins, is a finalist of the Conip Award for Excellence in Public Management. The award will take place during the 20th edition of the Congress on Innovation of the Judiciary and Control Bodies (Conip JUD 2025), from August 27th to 29th, in the city of Brasilia (DF).

The list of finalists was released on June 30th, highlighting the server Harly Carreiro Varão, from the Directorate of Information Technology (Dtinf/ TJTO) and project manager, as one of the fifteen finalists of the award. The GiseLI team also includes the servers Luan Coelho de Souza (API analyst), Fernando Henrique Lima Soares and Fernando Barroso Noleto (developers of extrajudicial systems), as well as Fernando Américo da Silva Brito (systems analyst).

“It is a very rewarding feeling to have the work of the whole team recognized. We believe that extrajudicial activity has a great potential for innovation, and technology is an essential ally to generate a positive impact on the life of the citizen," said Harly Varão.

GiseLI is an artificial intelligence solution integrated into the Gise system, a digital tool of the General Internal Affairs of Justice of the State of Tocantins (CGJUS), used to monitor and manage the activities of the extrajudicial prisons of the State. Both systems were developed internally by the Dtinf/TJTO team. For Alice Setubal, director of Information Technology at the Court, the national nomination is a source of pride, just as it was with Gise in 2023, also finalist of the same award.

The selected projects will be evaluated by a panel of judges, in an ONLINE format, on August 1st. This step will define the prize winners.
