Preliminary Results Of The National Exam Of Notary Offices Are Published

The preliminary results of the first National Exam of Notary Offices (ENAC) were released on Tuesday (June 3rd), by the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV), responsible for the implementation of the contest. To date, 2,799 candidates have achieved the required score for approval. 

Established by the National Council of Justice (CNJ), the test is a prerequisite for registration in public contests for extrajudicial services. Of the 2,799 approved(s), 334 are people with disabilities, 270 are black and two are indigenous.  

According to the notice, it is expected that the final result will be published on July 1. After the approval of the result, the CNJ will issue the certificates of qualification, in digital form, to the approved persons. The document is valid for six years.

The National Exam of Notary Offices [Resolution no 575, 2024 of the CNJ], coordinated by the National Court of Justice, aims to provide greater transparency and standardize the knowledge requirements for the exercise of legal activities and registration throughout the country. Another aim is to strengthen transparency in the process of notaries and registration services.  

The objective test was applied in April of 2025 and contemplated 100 questions, elaborated in order to privilege: the reasoning and the resolution of problems on public records; Constitutional, Administrative, Tax, Civil, Criminal, Criminal and Business Procedural; and general knowledge.
