Esmat Starts June With A Full Agenda Of Training And Events

June starts busy at the Superior school of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat)! With an agenda full of courses and events, magistrates, civil servers and partners will be immersed throughout the month in topics ranging from data management to digital transformation, including innovative strategies to improve the performance of the Judiciary.

On Monday morning (June 2nd), Esmat opened the work of the month with two classes already in session: the course on "BI Panel: Analysis and Management of Judicial Unit Data“, aimed at magistrates and civil servers of the General Internal Affairs of Justice, which trains participants in the use of BI tools for the analysis, interpretation and visualization of legal data, the use of filters, promoting more efficient management within the agency; and the course on ”Criminal Sentencing in Practice", aimed at advisors of magistrates, led by Professor Yuri Anderson Pereira Jurubeba, PhD in Law, which continues until Thursday (June 5th).

The modules of the course on Eproc 2025 – 1st and 2nd degrees - are also now available through the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), which guides participants through the use and procedural handling of the Eproc system, using the tools provided. On June 4th and 5th, the event commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Special Courts will take place 100% virtually, with the participation of Justice Erick Linhares (TJRR) and Judge Maurício Cunha (TJMG), under the coordination of Judges Marcelo Augusto Ferrari Faccioni and Ciro Rosa de Oliveira. The initiative aims to promote understanding of the special courts, offering an overview of their role in the Brazilian Judicial System, highlighting their purpose, procedures and importance for resolving conflicts related to consumer law and civil liability.

From June 4th to 6th, Esmat will host the course on “Innovative management and strategies in the treatment of repetitive demands”, which aims to apply current legislation to strategic and innovative action in the treatment of repetitive litigation, through the application of judicial management tools, jurimetry and Business Intelligence panels, aligning theory and practice with the Recommendation No. 159 of 2024 of the CNJ and the guidelines of the TJTO, with a focus on efficiency, standardization of conduct and in the improvement on the provision of justice.

Also this week, on June 5th and 6th, Engineer José Eduardo Guidi, consultant and master in Public Administration, will lead the course on “Amendments and economic-financial rebalancing in public works and engineering services, according to the Law No. 14.133, of 2021”, with registrations made exclusively by indication in the specific SEI Process, closing today, the 2nd. From June 6th to July 13th, the course on "Introductory Notions on the protocol for special testimony in family actions" will be offered virtually, aimed at magistrates, servers and teams of the areas of Psychology, Pedagogy, Social Service and the Management Group of Multidisciplinary Teams (GGEM).

From June 9th to 15th, the course on "Management and operation of innovation laboratories" will be promoted to train magistrates and servers of the TJTO to understand the foundations of innovation in the public sector, Develop skills to act in innovative initiatives in the context of the Judiciary and apply methodologies, tools and practices that favor the creation, management and implementation of projects aimed at improving the services provided to society. The first face-to-face meeting takes place on the 10th.

The second class of the course on "Public service and ethics in public administration" will be held from June 10th to 27th, in EaD format, in partnership with Digep/ TJTO. The training aims to enable the participants to be able to offer a service to the public of excellence, aligned with the principles of the institution, through an efficient, empathetic and of quality, aiming at the improvement of services provided and the satisfaction of the public, under the guidance of Professor Jefferson Sampaio de Moura.

Already from June 11th to 13th, there is the course on "Prevention and facing with harassment and discrimination in the workplace", coordinated by Ângela Issa Haonat, which aims to sensitize and train magistrates and servers of the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins in preventing harassment in the workplace and facing mental health challenges in everyday life, based on informed knowledge and practices.

On June 12th, the virtual lecture on "Justice with empathy: Ombudsmen as bridges to a more human and participatory Judiciary" will be broadcast via GOOGLE MEET for magistrates, civil servers and trainees. The objective is to improve clear communication, strengthen empathy in service and stimulate innovation in the Ombudsman of the Judicial System of the state of Tocantins.

On June 12th and 13th, Justice Marco Villas Boas teaches the second class of the course on "Digital Transformation in the Judiciary", aimed at legal advisors of the TJTO, with registrations by indication.

In parallel, there is the Practical Laboratory of Generative Artificial Intelligence (IAGen) - Classes III and IV -, coordinated by Judge Wellington Magalhães, and the course on "Blockchain and Cryptoassets: Introductory and Practical Aspects", coordinated by Ângela Issa Haonat.

Another self-instructional course that begins this month is "Management by Skills: Fundamentals and Practices", with the objective of training civil servers of the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins to identify and describe the skills and size the activities of their units, and to understand the objectives and methods of skills mapping and workforce sizing used in the TJTO. The modules will be released from June 16th to October 31st.

On June 16th and 17th, the city of Palmas will host the 17th National Forum of Mediation and Conciliation (Fonamec), held by the TJTO and Nupemec, with support from Esmat. The event will bring together experts from across the country to discuss progress and challenges in consensual conflict resolution. Registrations are free and open to the community, with a deadline until June 11th.

In addition to these activities, June still reserves: the Round of Conversation on Strengthening Public Service Leadership, the Workshop on Racism in Social and Historical Formation of Brazil and the Training in Accessibility and Inclusion.
