May Is A Month Of Learning And Inclusive Practices At Esmat

The Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) began the month of May with a diverse programming aimed at strengthening technical training, organizational culture and promoting inclusive practices in the Judiciary. Throughout the month, courses, workshops and face-to-face and ONLINE events are aimed at different audiences, with contemporary approaches and interdisciplinary themes.

Check out some highlights of the programming:

Aimed at judges and civil servers who work with sustainability policies in the Judiciary, the course, to be held on May 12th and 13th and is coordinated by Justice Ângela Prudente, aims to enable participants to understand and apply fundamental concepts related to Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions and reduction strategies adapted to the reality of the courts.

The activity, which is open to the public, will be held on May 15th, in hybrid mode, with the programming concentrated in the auditorium of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO), starting at 8:30 a.m., with live transmission via the virtual platform of Esmat. Registrations are now open and they can be done on the day of the event.

With meetings on May 16th, 22nd and 23rd, the hybrid course is aimed at judges and civil servers who hold management positions in the Judiciary, with the aim of training them to act as leaders who promote a safe, respectful and high-performance work environment.

Scheduled to begin on May 26th, the third and final class of the FluêncIA (Fluence) self-instructional course on Artificial Intelligence of this semester will present the concepts, practical applications and ethical challenges of generative AI in the public context. Registrations will be open until May 21st and they can be made by magistrates, civil servers, interns, legal residents, civil servers from partner bodies of the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins and other interested parties.

On May 12th and 13th, Esmat will hold the First Workshop on Data Protection in the Judiciary, aimed exclusively at magistrates and civil servers of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO). The initiative aims to promote and disseminate the culture of personal data protection within the Judiciary through dialogues and activities that provide an overview of the entire data governance and regulation ecosystem, giving participants the necessary experience to act as multipliers of this culture in their work environment.

With a workload spread over the period from May 12th to 30th, the course, which will be developed in distance learning mode, aims to train participants to apply the Trial Protocol with a Gender Perspective, as provided for in the Resolution 492 of the National Council of Justice (CNJ) of 2023, promoting more sensitive, inclusive and effective action in guaranteeing access to justice.

From May 13th to 15th, the course, which will be taught by Justice Marco Villas Boas, aims to train participants on the impacts of digital transformation in the Judiciary, in order to understand and apply emerging technologies - such as Artificial Intelligence, Digital Interfaces and Intelligent Systems - in an ethical, efficient manner that is aligned with the contemporary demands of Justice. Registrations will be available until May 12th.

The training aims to guide magistrates and civil servers of the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins in the application of decisions of the STF related to the Themes 1.234 and 6 in judicial proceedings. The activities, which will take place from May 27th to June 25th, through the Virtual Learning Environment of Esmat (AVA) and the GOOGLE MEET platform, aim to promote the effectiveness of health decisions and contribute to harmonize the right to health and the sustainability of the public health system.
