During the opening ceremony of the Judicial Year of the Judiciary of the State of Acre (TJAC), Justice Marco Villas Boas, general director of the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) and president of the Permanent College of Directors of State Schools of the Magistracy (Copedem), was awarded the Judicial Merit Medal of the state of Acre in the rank of Grand Officer.
The medal is awarded to leaders and personalities of partner institutions for their unconditional support for the advancement of justice in the state of Acre and it was presented by Justice Regina Ferrari, president of the Court of Justice of the State of Acre, and Justice Samoel Evangelista.
In his speech, Justice Marco thanked the judges for the tribute and reinforced the partnership in the implementation of the Professional Master's Degree in Judicial Provision and Human Rights for magistrates of the Judiciary of the state of Acre.
“It is with great honor that I congratulate Justice Regina Ferrari and her team for their brilliant management, innovations and perspectives for legal education in the Northern Region. The partnership with the Judicial School of the state of Acre, under the management of director Elcio Mendes, which enabled the off-site master's degree, held by the Federal University of the state of Tocantins through Esmat, is an example of the commitment to the professional development of civil servers. I am a witness to her idealism and hard work to advance the Judiciary, always at the forefront of new technologies, such as generative artificial intelligence. The vocation of the Judiciary of the Northern Region for institutional and scientific progress and for the aggregation of social justice, seeking a better future for all, is remarkable. I am grateful for the brotherhood with the magistrates of the state of Acre, which is consolidated and shines through in the beauty of this medal. Thank you very much,” he said.
